Carolyn Eyre: training, support & investigation
Carolyn Eyre worked in the Local Authority safeguarding arena for many years, first in Education Welfare services before becoming Child Protection coordinator for a large authority with 265 schools, 18,500 staff and 110,000 school-aged children.More recently, she was Head of Health, Safety & Wellbeing for the authority - combining also the roles of Senior Allegations Manager and Safer Recruitment lead officer. Carolyn is well known for her work with FE colleges and is regularly invited to speak at national conferences on topics ranging from 'partnership working' through 'creating a safe school culture' to the 'preventive curriculum'. Carolyn has a particular interest in the protection of children and young adults with disabilities; her knowledge and understanding of the complexities of safeguarding vulnerable groups has won her many friends in the special school sector nationally. She is a trustee at nasen and safeguarding adviser to NASS.
As a member of the Safer Recruitment Consortium, Carolyn was heavily involved in re-writing the national Safer Recruitment training materials launched in September 2014 and delivers T4T events nationally.
Carolyn is a member of the Association of Child Protection Professionals (AoCPP) and has MA Professional Training & Development complimented by:-
- Certificate in social work with children
- NSPCC post-graduate Certificate of Competence
- NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
provides recruitment services, team and leadership development, personal effectiveness and customer service training across the commercial and local government sectors. Anne-Louise is an accredited trainer delivering Safer Recruitment to the full range of educational settings and social care services and is a member of the Safer Recruitment Consortium.She has worked with FE colleges to develop communication and interview skills, and has been involved in developing customer service and team leading NVQ programmes.
As an independent trainer and consultant at ALP Training & Development Anne-Louise has designed, delivered and evaluated a wide range of soft skills programmes. She is also an independent recruitment associate.
Anne-Louise has Management Studies Cert., European Humanities Dip., and is also:-
- an accredited MBTI trainer
- FIRO qualified
- trained practitioner of Thomas International PPA DISC, Emotional intelligence & GIA
Abigail Clay has over 30 years’ experience within the school/ FE/HE sector with a drive to improve outcomes for students through effective, pro-active and personalised support. She is committed to students improving their options by having an enriching, safe and successful educational experience.
For 12 years Abigail held senior leadership positions in large Colleges and had responsibility for services for students. Now the director of Cosain Consulting, Abigail has significant experience of Safeguarding and has achieved outstanding recognition from Ofsted in college inspections for this area of work.
Abigail has driven the Prevent agenda locally, regionally and nationally and has been involved with regional police and local authorities to assure the very best practice. She has spoken at regional, national and European conferences delivering key note and workshop presentations over the last few years including: Prevent, safeguarding young adults, healthy relationships, equality and diversity, student engagement and partnership working.
